A healthcare data practice

DEXPRA works on the parts of healthcare technology that sit between disciplines — where clinical workflow, data standards, platform architecture, and regulatory constraint all touch the same decision. Most of the failures we’ve seen weren’t in the model or the algorithm. They were in the seam.

Our background is in surgical robotics, medical imaging, and clinical data platforms, built inside device manufacturers, imaging vendors, and life-sciences organisations. We’ve sat on standards committees, shipped cleared products, and run the integrations that come after the press release.

What we’re doing right now

Publishing. We write about interoperability, data platforms, and applied AI, and we release the tools we build along the way. Advisory work is limited and by enquiry.

The stack, and the part we work on

Fragmented sources feed an interoperability layer, then a governed data platform, then applied AI and ML, and finally the clinicians, operations teams, researchers and patients who act on the result. DEXPRA works across the middle three stages.

How we think

Start with the decision, not the technology.
The right architecture depends on what someone has to decide, and when.
Make standards usable.
A standard engineers can’t implement and clinicians can’t feel is overhead.
Design for the failure case.
What happens when it’s wrong matters more than how often it’s right.
Say when it isn’t worth building.
Sometimes the most useful output is a decision not to proceed.

Where we work

  • Healthcare providers
  • Digital health and medtech
  • Life sciences
  • Health data platforms and vendors

Working on one of these problems?

We’re publishing more than we’re consulting right now. If you have something specific in interoperability, data platforms, or clinical AI, tell us what it is and we’ll tell you what we think.
